You've got some good ideas here, and I get that this is an early beta, but it definitely needs a lot of work. For one thing, the text on the battle menus is nearly unreadable. Get rid of the white back-light, because it's incredibly distracting. Also, the battle system is both incredibly simple and very difficult- I can't get past Motobug. Good idea, but definitely work on it a lot more.

Wow. I'm not really a fan of dating sims, or hentai, or the like, and I never really played the first version of this game from all those years ago, but I gotta say, this is pretty good- and the sheer wonder of a game this old FINALLY being 100% completed makes it impossible for me to give this anything other than a 5.

sim-man responds:

Great! I really appreciate that.

I'm always impressed by an April Fool's joke that actually fools me, and you guys got me good! It all looked like a real game, and it SEEMED like I could've actually won. I especially like the mocking tone that the game begins to use the more you die.

That said, everything looks really nice, and it'd be pretty cool if it was a real game.

Good idea with poor execution. There's almost nothing to do with this thing whatsoever. I know that this is obviously just supposed to be a joke, but it could've been both fun and a joke, and it's not.

I was quite surprised by this game. At first I thought it'd be dull and easy. But, not long after I began playing, I realized that the gameplay was really far harder than it seemed! Kudos to you for designing such a deceptively simple, yet very challenging game.

This is a great little game! The presentation is rather dull and standard (the HUD looks kind of bland and the designs of the menu screens are Blatant Angry Birds Ripoff #4091), but they hide the deep, challenging, monumentally entertaining game within. The physics are very well-programmed and there's a lot of hidden complexity. Getting 3 stars is a major challenge, even on the earliest stages! I'll be playing this game for hours, perhaps more!

Good idea, but the physics need serious work. The bullets tend to just bounce along a single pattern for a few seconds. It's very hard to hit the right spot that will reach every alien.

It's okay. The concept isn't especially unique, and there really isn't all that much to the design, but I had some fun. One thing to note, the hit detection on the rings is way too wide; I found myself losing lives or beating levels when I had barely even touched the object.

mkwklng responds:

Yea I noticed that with the rings they can have some pretty jerky movements so when barely touching said rings it can result in a ahitTest being true. Thank you for making me aware of that. I appreciate it.

A good test, but the game is in dire need of more levels, sound and music, and better physics. I look forward to the game when it's finished, it has great potential, but a prototype that's this early isn't suitable for the portal.

Fun, but inferior

The "This is the Only Level" series is one of my favorite game series we have on Newgrounds, and the third entry is certainly a worthy addition. However, I can't help but feel that it isn't as fun as its predecessors were. The puzzles seem simpler and less challenging, and the design of the level is a lot less interesting than in the last two.

This is still a fun game, but the last two were better.

Alright, worms! I've got a lot of time to spend, and I don't want it wasted! Now go make something that impresses the hell out of me, and I MIGHT give you 3 stars! Make the best damn thing I've ever seen, and you get 4! What? 5 stars? BWAHAHA! DREAM ON!
